We are fortunate to have a conductor who, as a former member of the world renowned Monteverdi Choir, has performed the St John Passion many times.  Reviewing their recording of this much loved work, BBC magazine said it was, “A little slice of heaven”.

The choir will be joined by soloists and a professional orchestra led by Beatrice Scaldini who has delighted us with her playing on several occasions, most recently in our performance of Monteverdi’s Vespers in March 2017.

This is an opportunity to hear live this wonderful work at Eastertide and to experience, “The unrepeatable, unpredictable nature of great music performed in that moment only”, (Mark Padmore, Tenor).
